Dalmatia

This wine is a blend of five grape varieties from the same vineyard: Kujundžuša, Pošip, Žilavka, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The wine matured on its lees (sur lie) in barrique barrels made from Slavonian and American oak. A medium to full-bodied wine with an intense golden hue and straw-yellow highlights. Bursting with citrus fruit, it is enveloped by aromas of vanilla, nuts, fermented fruit, honey and toasted bread, with floral and buttery notes. A highly complex and developed aromatic profile. Rich and robust on the palate, with excellent body and harmony, followed by a long, complex finish layered with nutty and buttery nuances.

Vintage: 2021 Grape variety: Pošip 100% Ageing: Barrique Origin: Bol, Island of Brač Alcohol content: 13.5% Closure: Natural cork Volume: 0.75l Pošip is Dalmatia’s most important white grape variety. Rich in fruit, freshness and intensity, this native grape delivers wines of remarkable character. It also lends itself beautifully to oak ageing. The grapes are sourced from both newly planted and traditional vineyards on the island. All vineyard work and harvesting are carried out entirely by hand. The exceptional quality of the fruit is the result of meticulous care and close monitoring of the vines. The grapes are hand-picked in the early morning, then quickly cooled and brought to the cellar to avoid the heat of the day. Fermentation takes place with 50% in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and the remaining 50% in barrique and large oak casks (3,300 litres). The wine then ages for 8 months in tank and a further 4 months in bottle. Pošip Majstor is a complex, delicate and elegant wine. High minerality, peach and apple notes. The wine lingers long on the palate, with powerful aromas. The oak influence remains subtle in the background, while freshness and acidity maintain a perfect balance.

Vintage: 2023 Grape variety: Vugava 100% Ageing: Stainless steel tank Origin: Nerežišća, Brač Island Alcohol content: 12% Closure: Natural cork Vugava is considered an indigenous grape variety of Vis Island, though some theories link it to Brač. Vugava from Brač differs significantly from its counterparts on Vis. Made from grapes grown in vineyards on the Dalmatian island of Vis, Vugava is an indigenous variety with great potential. Modern viticulture and oenological methods are only now beginning to unlock its full potential and possibilities. This Vugava offers a delicate, subtle aroma, characteristic freshness, and a balance that becomes even more pronounced with ageing. The grapes are sourced from old vineyards in the interior of Vis Island. All vineyard work is carried out by hand, and harvesting takes place in the early morning to preserve the grapes’ freshness and flavour.
