Rich, fresh fruitiness intertwines with sweet spices. The palate opens with concentrated, persistent fruitiness that is far from ordinary. Mid-palate is dominated by a wealth of spices, blending seamlessly with the initial fruitiness into a luscious sweetness. The finish reveals a subtle spiciness, harmonised by gentle tannins, the warmth of alcohol and perfectly balanced acidity.

Pair with red meat dishes, particularly steak.

The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of the island of Brač, close to Bol. Plavac Mali thrives on the island’s characteristic sparse, limestone soils. The grapes are sourced from both young and old vines, requiring meticulous care due to the challenging environment. All vineyard work is carried out by hand, and harvest is delayed to achieve optimal ripeness and capture the wine’s signature flavour profile.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under strictly controlled conditions. Maceration lasts two to three weeks, with precise timing crucial to preserving the wine’s vibrant fruit character.

After fermentation, the wine is aged for 2–3 years in French barriques and re-used barrels, resulting in soft tannins and a harmonious blend of fruit and subtle oak notes.
