Crljenak (= Tribidrag) from the small town of Kaštela in Croatia is the ancient ancestor of famous grape varieties – as Primitivo and Zinfandel, it has made its mark in Italy and California, and when crossed with other indigenous Croatian grapes, it became the father of Plavac Mali and Babić. And Jadrovino has some of the best examples of all three.
